DESCRIPTION
 
The IR940 head is a dedicated IR illuminator head that is designed to output IR light in the 940nm IR spectrum. The reflector is designed to deliver a good amount of spill and a well defined hot spot at distances up to 75 yards depending on atmospheric conditions. This light head has the large visible signature reduction over our 850nm head and the Surefire Vampire Series of lights. If your looking for the most stealthy IR head currently available this is the light you want.

*Lithium CR123 cells are not supported and if used will cause the cells to heat up and possibly explode or catch fire. We recommend the KeepPower 18650/18350 high drain cells which can be found here. Runtime is about 120 minutes with 1850 and about 50minutes with the 18350 cells.

Can’t go wrong with Modlite. Plus the sale price was too good to pass up. The IR-940 is much like looking at a PLHv2 but under IR. Has a great throw, wide beam. Best for inside of 75 yards probably, but doesn’t have a red glow like an 850nm.
